The Bloor Building was built on the southeast corner of Bay & Bloor streets at a time of change. The conversion of Bloor St from residential to commercial began to reshape the area. Built with stores and showrooms on the first two floors and office space in the upper four floors. The Manulife Centre opened in 1974 on this location after two years of construction.
